The TREND letter was founded and is run by investors who had invested passively in the stock market, sometimes making money and sometimes losing money, but never really feeling in control of what was happening with our money. So like many of you, we decided to do something about it.

We share our experience and research to help you do what investors should do - understand their positions and their risk, and make money.  In order for us to be a successful service, we must gain your support and keep it.  How we do that is by assisting you in consistently making money over time, bull or bear market.

The trick is to know what to buy and when to buy it, but most importantly when to limit risk and when to sell.  To filter through all of the events in the media it is critical that investors understand the impact that these events have on the markets, and the underlying trends that are in effect.  Ethics have gone to the back of the bus in the investment sphere, and much of the information in the mainstream is heavily manipulated by the many brokerage firms, media, and market manipulators who are much more interested in their own interests and special deals with the listed companies than they are with ensuring that you, their client, is given the critical information that you need.

Ours is a company that provides services that we as individual investors could not find, so we created a service that provides the research that the average investor simply does not have time or experience to do.  What distinguishes our service from most brokers and financial services is that we are focused on identifying what will happen next in the market.  We will give you a guideline on how to profit from the information that we provide you, and how to save yourself from holding on to a stock as it tumbles down in a bear market. 

At the core of our service are the TREND letter templates. These are like your own mutual fund which you have complete control over.  The templates are grouped for each type of investor (conservative, moderate, and aggressive) and your role is to determine what type of fund best suits your investment philosophy and your personality.

There are no guarantees when investing, but you can certainly be successful if you are prepared, proactive, and know yourself.  If you are conservative and don't like the risk of fast markets and potentially large losses, and don't invest in high-risk stocks, then consider stocks in the conservative template.  If you are more of a speculator who enjoys action and potentially huge profits, then consider the stocks in the aggressive template.  Or simply mix from each template as best suits you.
